HDS H11 Tool Steel is an all-purpose hot work tool steel with high stiffness and endurance. Good thermal conductivity, resistance to heat cracking, and water cooling to a limited extent. Ejector pins, equipment holders, and shrink-fit chucks are examples of applications. Hot work tool steel containing 5% chromium has excellent strength and toughness, is the best thermal physical phenomenon, and is prone to hot cracking. This ensures lengthy tool life in die-casting, press forging, extrusion, and other processes. Stock Availability of Tool Steel HDS H11: Tool Steel HDS H11 materials are normally available in the various forms of HDS Round, HDS Square and HDS Flat. Commercially available HDS materials are H11 Grade only. HDS H13 Grades are supplied against specific orders. We supply these materials as per our Customer’s cutting Requirement. Applications of Tool Steel HDS H11: Besides applications typical for the area of hot-work steels, this grade is especially used for ejector pins, tool holders, bridge kind tools, liner holders, forging dies, hot work punches, and shrink work chucks.

HDS H13 Tool Steel is a flexible chromium-molybdenum hot work steel that is frequently used in hot and cold work tooling applications. H13's hot hardness (hot strength) resists thermal fatigue cracking caused by cyclic heating and cooling cycles in hot work tooling applications.H13 is also employed in a number of cold work tooling applications due to its high toughness and excellent heat treatment resilience. H13 is utilized for more hot work tooling applications than any other tool steel due to its exceptional combination of high toughness and resistance to thermal fatigue cracking (also known as heat checking). In these applications, H13 outperforms typical alloy steels such as 4140 in terms of hardenability and wear resistance.
