Cast iron is a group of iron-carbon alloys with a carbon content of more than 2 to 4 %. Cast iron is made by reducing Iron Ore in a Blast Furnace. In addition, varying amounts of silicon from 1 to 3% by weight and manganese as well as traces of impurities such as sulfur and phosphorus. HDS H11 Tool Steel is an all-purpose hot work tool steel with high stiffness and endurance. Good thermal conductivity, resistance to heat cracking, and water cooling to a limited extent. Ejector pins, equipment holders, and shrink-fit chucks are examples of applications. Hot work tool steel containing 5% chromium has excellent strength and toughness, is the best thermal physical phenomenon, and is prone to hot cracking. This ensures lengthy tool life in die-casting, press forging, extrusion, and other processes. Stock Availability of Tool Steel HDS H11: Tool Steel HDS H11 materials are normally available in the various forms of HDS Round, HDS Square and HDS Flat. Commercially available HDS materials are H11 Grade only. HDS H13 Grades are supplied against specific orders. We supply these materials as per our Customer’s cutting Requirement.
